This 1920's house located in a prominent and developing historic district encompassed a complete interior remodel and exterior renovation. The project's scope was based on an extended family living situation. Two separate yet connected modernized living spaces were needed. This required two kitchens, baths and living spaces spread between 3 floors.
The final and realized design had the main floor and upper floor as a separate living spaces while the lower level consisted of a shared space including a guest suite. All floors were connected to a stair well for family and guest access.
The challenge of creating a contemporary interior with a historic shell was met with informed historic inspired aesthetic decisions and meeting contemporary living.
